Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is therapy in water. The buoyancy and warmth of the water allows more freedom of movement, relaxes muscles and reduces stress on joints.

Water has the special ability to decrease the effects of gravity, so it can help support your body weight. This means that many people are able to move more freely and through greater range than on land. The warm water helps your muscles to relax and promotes an increased range of joint movement.

Hydrotherapy pools are 32 degrees or warmer which is warmer than what you will encounter in a normal swimming, usually 27 degrees.

Hydrotherapy is beneficial for many conditions and in the water, we can safely work on your

  •         Balance and coordination
  •         Strength and flexibility
  •         Muscle tension and pain

We offer group classes or individual sessions depending on your needs and funding. Our therapists will design a program that helps you achieve your goals.
