Your first appointment
Your first appointment is a comprehensive assessment designed to give your physiotherapist a clear understanding of your condition, symptoms and goals.
Depending on your needs, your assessment may include:
- A detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history and current concerns
- Assessment of movement, strength, walking and balance
- Vestibular and eye movement assessment where appropriate
- Neurological assessment
- Concussion-specific assessment where appropriate
- Review of how your symptoms are affecting work, study, sport and everyday activities
- Development of an individualised rehabilitation plan
We will also explain our findings, answer your questions and discuss the next steps in your rehabilitation.
Individualised rehabilitation
No two people, or rehabilitation journeys, are the same.
Your treatment plan will be tailored to your assessment findings, goals and individual circumstances. Depending on your needs, rehabilitation may include:
- Vestibular and balance rehabilitation
- Strength, mobility and walking retraining

We want you to understand what we are working on, why we are working on it and how it relates to the things you want to get back to doing.
Where appropriate, we can also communicate and collaborate with your GP, specialist and other members of your healthcare or rehabilitation team.
Who can book?
You can book an appointment directly with Advanced Neuro Rehab. A referral is not required for private physiotherapy appointments.
We also see eligible clients through a range of funding and referral pathways, including:
