Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2010, graduating from the University of Otago, NZ. She has gained extensive experience working as a physiotherapist in the private rehabilitation and private practice sectors, across Sydney and Adelaide. She has a sound clinical base in a diverse range of neurological, orthopaedic, cardio respiratory, and general reconditioning presentations. Rebecca has held the role of senior physiotherapist of the inpatient neurological rehab ward at Lady Davidson Private Hospital in Sydney, and more recently relocated to Adelaide to pursue her Master of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy), graduating from Flinders University in 2018. She has received consequent titling of APA Neurological Physiotherapist through the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Over the course of her career, Rebecca has discovered a passion for neurological and vestibular physiotherapy, and applies a wholistic management approach when assisting her clients through the challenges day to day life can bring. She has a thirst for knowledge, and strives to maintain a variety of skills with her continuing professional development, including attending courses in introductory vestibular rehabilitation, cervicogenic dizziness, headache and concussion management, running retraining in the neurological population, balance retraining, Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation, stroke management, and is a qualified Tai Chi instructor. Rebecca is also an avid trail and ultra runner, and enjoys any form of physical activity in the outdoors.
Since joining the ANR team in 2019, Rebecca continues to further her clinical skills in more complex vestibular presentations, providing therapy 3 days per week both in rooms and home visits. She continues to work in conjunction with her other role as a physiotherapist in the neurological day rehabilitation department at Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital, Adelaide.
